A Summer of Rivers...

I spent most of my summer following rivers, exploring the history, ecology and conservation of the Cam, the Sava (Slovenia) and Komarnica (Montenegro). I documented our human connection to these rivers as best I could, interviewing locals, scientists and activists along the way. I am in the midst of writing and producing podcast episodes for each river to tell their stories.

People of the Vjosa

Myself and two friends, Will and Skyler, following the River Vjosa in Albania source to sea on foot, over 150km. The Vjosa is set to be Europe's first river national park, so we set out to find out what creating a national park in a bustling Balkan country really looked like.

On Wednesday, 23rd November we will be giving a talk about our experiences. (recording will be made available)

The Dart: from Moors to Shores

In collaboration with the River Collective and under project leader Jaz  Dorinda, next year I shall be creating a podcast series introducing Devon's River Dart and the people who dedicate their lives to it.

Following the Egyptian Vulture

A project very much still in the planning pipeline, next autumn I plan to follow the migration of the Egyptian Vulture through the Balkans down to East Africa. I hope to explore the cultural significance of the world's only tool-using vulture, and how conservation initiatives span across three continents.

Please feel free to get in touch with me about any of these!
